"Safe with a System" quality seal
The German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Wood and Metal Industry (BGHM) has certified that Burwinkel Kunststoffwerk GmbH meets the requirements for systematic and effective occupational health and safety necessary for the "Sicher mit System" (Safe with a System) quality seal, in accordance with the industry-specific implementation of NLF / ILO-OSH 2001.
The assessment conducted on February 24, 2026, was based on the "DGUV procedural principles for the assessment of occupational health and safety management systems." This certificate is valid until February 28, 2029.
"The quality seal confirms our ongoing commitment to occupational health and safety and employee well-being. As a family-owned company, we take responsibility - including for the protection and health of our employees. This certification is another building block in our future-oriented strategy."
The BGHM "Sicher mit System" seal is based on an internationally recognized standard for occupational health and safety management systems developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It establishes requirements to help organizations ensure workplace health and safety and minimize risks.
The standard replaces the previous OHSAS 18001 standard and offers a structured approach to integrating occupational health and safety into business operations. ISO 45001 promotes continuous improvement in occupational health and safety performance and helps companies meet legal requirements and create a safe working environment.
The target group consists of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the BGHM’s jurisdiction with up to 250 employees; these companies can voluntarily undergo an assessment and receive support from the BGHM - acting as a neutral body - to optimize their occupational health and safety organization through advice and information.
